Boutique Success

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Sunday 16 November 2008 12:43 am

Today we had a great time at the FBCTT Visions of Sugarplums Boutique spreading the word about The Dream Calendar and selling some too! I had the opportunity to meet many of the sponsors face to face for the first time, which was such a treat! Katrina, of Fairy Princess Clothing had an incredible display as well! She graciously donated the beautiful pettiskirts for our Dream Calendar models to wear. If you haven’t visited her online store, take a look! She has the most darling things for your little princess that you’ve ever seen!!

I wanted to include a couple of images from the boutique as well and take the time to say a special thanks to my parents and hubby who helped with all the prep work and setting up! Without them, I simply couldn’t have done it today!!

If you haven’t purchased your Dream Calendar yet, there is now an online option!! Please click HERE! You will be taken to a site where you can purchase one for yourself and all those on your Christmas list as well!! You will find directions at the bottom of the page, instructing you how to complete your order.

Please continue to spread the word!! While we’ve made a nice start selling the calendars, we have many more to go!

Keep checking the blog for more information as well!

See You Soon!

SURPRISE!

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Sunday 9 November 2008 5:11 pm

Late yesterday afternoon, I received quite a surprise! Despite the calendars anticipated arrival date of Monday, the Fed Ex truck pulled into my yard with 11 boxes of precious cargo!! When the driver saw me cheering at my door, he yelled out “Boy, I’ve got a lot of stuff for you!” Indeed he did! He even took a moment to stop and snap a picture, noting it was the first time he’d ever felt famous delivering anything before!

Yes!!! The Dream Calendars have arrived, and they are beautiful! I could hardly contain the tears that were welling up in my eyes as I scanned page after page of each amazing child and their incredible stories, now waiting to be shared!

So, the next question that I know your begging to ask is, “How can I start purchasing my calendars today?”

There are going to be several options available to you including online and local purchasing.

However, the first major opportunity to get your hands on some of these calendars will be this Saturday, November 15th at the Visions of Sugar Plums Boutique held at First Baptist Church of Temple TerraceThis event includes over 30 unique vendors and the opportunity for continuous shopping from 10am-3pm. Tickets are $10.00 each and include lunch! All ticket sales will benefit WEE World, a preschool ministry of FBCTT. Annie Agarwal Photography will have a booth for calendar purchasing and Fairy Princess Clothing, who provided the adorable outfits for the girls to wear during their sessions, will be there as well! It’s the perfect time to start your holiday shopping, beginning of course with a Dream Calendar for everyone on your list! If you are interested in purchasing a ticket to attend, please contact First Baptist Church Temple Terrace at 813-988-1138 or email me at annieagarwalphotography@gmail.com

Several local businesses have also agreed to sell the calendars in their establishments. I will post specific information once they have them ready for sale.

In addition, some parents of The Dream Calendar models and other community members have graciously volunteered to sell the calendars! Many Wauchula friends have also inquired about purchasing the calendars. You may see Dee or Gerald Shackelford, my awesome parents, if you would like to offer your support to this worthy cause! If you are interested in volunteering to help sell The Dream Calendar, please contact me directly for more information.

Finally, we will be providing an online option for those who are out of state or would just prefer the ease of this method. Please note, however, that shipping and handling rates will apply.

Thank you so much to all of the sponsors, volunteers, family and friends who have made this dream a reality! It’s now my goal to sell all 1,000 calendars, so that we can grant many children the opportunity to see their dreams come true as well! Start spreading the word and I’ll keep updating this blog with more information soon!

It's in the Mail!

Session 12…We're DONE!

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Wednesday 22 October 2008 7:40 pm

It is so hard to believe that this was the last session of The Dream Calendar! I am mixed with all kinds of emotions…elated that we’ve completed the task; yet sad that I won’t be spending my afternoons with such precious children like these! How amazing to look back over the last month or so and see the different faces who have brought smiles to my own! I can’t wait for you to hold the calendar in your hands, so that month by month you too can experience the same overwhelming sense of accomplishment and joy that I now feel.

This last session was with a sweet little girl named Allie. Her parent’s actually founded Clouds of Hope, the charity which the Dream Calendar will aid. It made Allie’s session so special just knowing that the dreams God has placed in her tiny heart have already impacted hundreds of children. Her family is amazing and so is she!

These are some of my favorite images of our time together! Allie’s big blue eyes leave me breathless and her spunky personality is contagious! I had to include the last picture just for her! Allie was constantly wanting me to snap an image of one of her silly faces. This picture of her laughing really captured her enthusiasm in a way I hadn’t anticipated! It’s actually one of my favorites!

Next on my list, when this calendar is completely through, spending some time with her beautiful big sister, Abbie! She’s quite a model too!!

Enjoy and as always, leave a comment AND keep spreading the word about The Dream Calendar!!

Session 11

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Wednesday 22 October 2008 5:58 pm

I finally got to meet up with Julia and her sweet mom yesterday to take some images for the calendar. Earlier this year, my Project Childhood Session with Julia spurred a dream in my heart that resulted in this charity project. It was so precious to reflect upon that time with Julia and all the fun we had during her first session…things like laughing about trying to blow bubbles with gum, cracking silly jokes and holding on while Hannah drove her around the bumpy gardens.

This time with Julia was a treat as well. She is such a complete joy to be around. Though she’s grown up a bit since I saw her last, she is still the beautiful and fun loving girl I remember so well!

Thank you Julia and Lisa for coming out to be a part of a project that was greatly inspired by your stories!

Enjoy and don’t forget… leave a comment!

Here they are, the final sessions of The Dream Calendar! Before I head off to get some sleep, I wanted to at least post a sneak peek of what’s to come! I love Julia’s smile in this picture and Allie twirling and swirling with her skirt! I’ll post more tomorrow, but for now, enjoy these!!
